After
last year’s intensive on the intriguing Island of Ischia, The
Abruzzi Mountain Workshop is traveling south to the sun
drenched and mysterious region of Puglia, located on the Adriatic
Coast. We will be staying in the countryside, nestled amidst olive
groves on 17 acres, 10 minutes from the sea & the whitewashed
town of Ostuni. This magical place offers a studio for making
art as well as a movement studio & outdoor amphitheater, a
fish pond, an organic garden, friendly animals, beautiful walks
& more. The region is culturally rich with Romanesque castles,
cave dwellings, cathedrals & museums to explore.
We are offering intensive week of drawing/painting/multi-media, from June 15 - 22, 2004. Other weeks may be added. Please check with us for updates.
As in our other programs, we engage both the beginner and the more experienced artist. Mornings will be spent working in the studio or in superb outdoor locations … on the 17 acres, or among the white washed streets of Ostuni, shaded piazzas, and at the sea. Afternoons will be available for excursions and for self-exploration.
The price of the (US) $1,850.00 one-week
workshop includes:
- seven nights accomodations
- daily breakfast and lunch or dinner
- five hours of instruction each day
- all materials & supplies
- critiques and our farewell dinner festa
The workshop will be
conducted by Patricia Antonucci and Barbara
Schaefer. We are two New York-based artists
who have lived and worked extensively
in Italy, joining our creative forces to extend
to you a week of exciting and energizing approaches.

Continuum Movement, Shiatsu, Reiki, Jin Shin & Alexander technique. We integrate our numerous & varied
